Telecontrol substation using the example of an RTU based on the SIMATIC S7-1500 Advanced Controller

Efficiently monitor and control plants from the control center

Telecontrol stations (RTUs) are located at the substations of Telecontrol systems and monitor widely distributed measuring points. Different RTUs are used depending on the complexity of the task.

• The Telecontrol portfolio includes communications processors (CP) and Telecontrol Interface Modules (TIM) for building modular RTUs based on SIMATIC controllers.
• In addition, compact RTUs from the SIMATIC RTU3000C product line are also available for special operating conditions, e.g. when no local power supply is available.
